Last week, we at DIL Engineering GmbH participated as exhibitors at DIL Technology Day, and we can look back on two exciting and successful days of the event. The opening session alone, featuring Gitta Connemann, Dr. Memeht Cicek, and Clemens Hollah, made it clear what the DIL Technology Day is all about at its core: the exchange between research, industry, and application. “We bring people together. We translate research into practical applications. We listen. We test. We may even fail—in a controlled way—and then we move forward,” explained our CEO, Clemens Hollah. The exchange between research and practice plays a central role in this process, because innovations only realize their full value when they function under real-world conditions. As a custom machinery manufacturer for the food industry, we were able to take advantage of this opportunity to present our company, our expertise, and—in particular—our FiberFlow cooling nozzle portfolio to an interested audience of industry professionals. The DIL Technology Day provided the ideal setting for exchanging ideas with experts from industry, research, and development about current technologies, innovative processes, and future developments in food production. A particular highlight for us was the live demonstration of high-moisture extrusion, during which we were able to showcase our FiberFlow cooling die and cutting unit in collaboration with Coscura and DIL Technologie GmbH. This allowed visitors to experience our technology firsthand. Precise process control plays a crucial role, especially in the production of plant-based meat alternatives and textured proteins. Our FiberFlow solutions play a key role in specifically influencing product structure, cooling, and cut appearance, thereby enabling reproducible results. In addition to the technical presentation, our main focus was on personal interaction. The feedback and insights we received once again demonstrated just how dynamically the food industry is evolving.
